FOMO, aka the Fear of Missing Out is a tactic that many game devs use nowadays when crafting their games. It’s employed to force the player to keep playing their games, so while it can make them more money, it also can make players agitated and sour their opinions of the game. In this video we explore where FGO uses FOMO and how it might help and harm them.
